Ifound the thread pointed out on oscilloscope and it may be what i need, also i saw the Heathkit model0-10 you spoke of ,but the unit i have is a later model mine has calibrated graticule. I do have a question . In the vertical channel it saids frequency response is +1db from 8 cps to 2.5mc and +1.5 to -5db from3cps to 5mc ,is this the bandwith of my unit ??
once again thanks very much for you help.

2 Dusk:
yes, the bandwith is 3 cps (=Hertz, Hz) to 5 Mcps (= 5 MHz).
From 8 Hz t o2.5 Mhz signals the "error" in displaying is lower .
So it's just fine for most of the audio work. But keep in mind: This scope is old, needs proper warm-up time (appr. 30 minutes) and ofcourse is not as comfortable to use than newer ones (e.g. Tektronix 2215, etc.)
You might find some more info (schmeatic, handbook) at this site:

Look for heath because your model is a Hethkit scope.
Download is faster from bama.edebris.com.
