I have a Behringer ada8000 AD /DA ADAT 8ch mic preamp where the
input's and output's op-amps are TL074. I want to change this to some better op-amps. I'm considering the OPA3134 or AD713. Anyone who knows what's best of these two or if there excist better op-amp's here |

I need to use a 4 ch soic op-amp. I will replace 8 of them ,and if I'm gone use 1 or 2 ch op-amp's I will have a construction problem. It won't fit inside. The opa4227 seems interesting. I'll have to check it out. thanks 00940. In the end I'll probably f... this preamp up. Want to make the whole signal path from the input to the A/D converter better. Probably change the el. cond.
to polypropylen cond. This preamp is soo cheap anyway so I can afford to play with it |

Since you are replacing a TL074 you really need the "drop in" replacement opamp to have FET inputs (if you don't have the schematic for the Behringer). The input bias currents of an ultra low-noise bipolar opamp like the AD797 may be too big for the circuit at hand.
The BB OPA4134 should be a solid choice but don't expect magic. If implemented correctly the TL074 isn't all that bad. /Magnus
