Default Q on amp gain

What happens if the open loop gain of an amplifier is lower than the desired CL gain set by feedback? Does the amp get unstable or just creates more distortion? What if there is insufficient OL gain only in the high frequency region?

The output just gets lower, nothing weird happens.
