Default DIY stepped attenuator (how to compute resistor values?)

I bought a supposedly Alps stepped attenuator in Ebay for like $6 each plus shipping.
Well I want to replace the resistors with Vishay-Dale RN55 and I'm thinking of converting it to a 50k and a 100k.

Can you help me compute for the resistor values? It has 22 steps. Maybe there's a site that would help me.

Also, this for a headphone amp.

Thanks

jayel

Hi jarthel, maybe you can find some useful information on the Dact site, they have some nice stepped attenuators and a program to calculate the values.

Do you have the files? I downloaded it several times from 2 different computers and it seems the files on their server is corrupted.

Thanks

Cause they are probably using cheap resistors. As I mentioned the pot is supposedly an Alps.

Guess I should have been more specific.......why change from 100 K to 50 K?

As the other is already a 100k, I wanna to try a 50k on my DIY amp.
