Hello
I like to build a protection for speacker and I have schematic for upc1237 but i dont undrstand about relay.My amp will run on +/-40V Sow what kind of relay should i get and how high should be the resistance in relay to put suitable resistor on pin 6 of upc1237 Thanks |

Relay contact current depends of amp power you've got!
I think for 150W amp like i got and also planning protection with that IC's is that 10A 300V contact is ok solution.

Hi Risto80,
The resistor limits the current into pin 6, max. 80mA. Set this to drop the proper voltage across the relay coil depending on supply voltage. You can boost this rating with a transistor or two. Do you want the PDF? The file is too big to attach it here. PM to bhome_at_sympatico_dot_ca . -Chris |
