According to the threads I've read about the AV800, you really need to search through the forums and maybe even get in contact with some forum members (e.g. in the corresponding threads). There are some DIYers who tried to build the AV800 with Anthony's boards and had to figure out much for themselves.
OTOH, Anthony is back to diyaudio.com (as The Saint) sometimes, but difficult to reach. I'm not sure if the last couple of AV800-builders on this forum succeeded at all... But as I recall from following their progress, the most recent version of Anthony's boards should be ready to work, if you order with him... Just do a search! Sebastian. |

The latest AV800 document seems to have more typographical
errors than the older document. It can be confusing as the schematic has incomplete part numbers on some of the transistors. I can probably post a link to the older document if you want. The last thing I noticed is that some extra non-critical components (zeners, diodes) were removed from the new document. I'm not sure what the story is on why he removed them. If you have electronics skill and can read schematics, then I would make an attempt at building the AV800 trusting your electronics instinct to guide you. |
