Just wondering if anyone tried this active XO?

I think these filters in general aren't popular because there's few options to tune the filter. Apart from picking a single crossover frequency (two frequencies for a 3-way) there isn't much you can change about it. Your stuck with a textbook filter response, which isn't very usefull when building speakers. If you need any corrections, you'll need additional electronics.
With a filter like the MOX you get to set the order, the Q and the Fc for the high- and lowpass independently. There's a good change that any corrections you need can be made using these parameters, but if you need more there's still some space left on the PCB. |
