Question regarding Alesis Matica 900

I have an opportunity to purhcase one of these amps. The best information I can find out about them is at this link where they say "Very few professional amplifiers can handle critical reference monitoring in the studio, and still deliver the brute power required to drive a live sound reinforcement system. However this could be just a sales pitch. What I wanted to ask was if anyone had any experiences with this amplifier? Were they good? What have you heard about it? Do you believe it would be a good amp in a (semi) audiophile setup or is this professional stuff not suitable?
