LL1660, a match for SK135/J50?

I don't remember that hybrid amp that catched my attention. If I'm not mistaken, it is designed by Guido Tent, using modern MOSFET, a 100mA Lundahl, and a tube.

This amp has a "bad" measurement for distortion (like many transparent tube amps). I don't remember if this amp has version that using old Hitachi MOSFET, but that is exactly what I want:

To build the best sounding amplifier from Hitachi K135/J50.

What I want to know is whether I can use the old Hitachi as direct replacement for the newer MOSFET in that schematic, without doing serious harm to the Hitachi (I'm willing to experiment even without sufficient knowledge, but hopefully I can get some help :))

Another one is whether LL1660 of the higher current rating can be used without much different (Because I think the higher one can be re-used for different projects)

Hello,

One can know the reference of this recent transistor Hitachi ?
If they is the K1058/J162 they are the same chips inside as the K135/J50.
Can one see this diagram of amplifier ?

That's very interesting what you have found with the Hitachi, Peranders.
I'm not surprised myself if that is true.

Here is the website for the schematic:

http://www.homestead.com/whaan/files/page3.html

It's not 100mA, Analog_sa, but 10mA. The higher version one is 18mA if
I'm not mistaken. The one used in the Euridice preamp (but with single
secondary I guess). Other main components are 5687, LL1660/10,
Magnatec BUZ900P/905P.

I'm going to use parallelled K135/J50 for the output. That is if I got
the green light :)

Hi,

Thank you for the shéma.

All the docs are available on the site of JMP. You can use Hitachi as well as Magnatec SEMELAB Group or Exicon from Profusion. They all are of manufacture of chips under Hitachi patent, as one can now as well find in old case TO3 or out of case TO3P and this into simple or double chips. By the best manufactoring process the chips support 1A moreover and 2A for the double.

Mosfets (lateral structure):

Hi all,

I was newbie in solid state regions.
Recent I had a idea. My friend told me that he like to build a tube >> IT >>discrete to push mosfet long time ago. The main reason that he did not start this project was the band width of the IT looks cannot reach the mosfet. But now the nano-amorphous core was solve this problem. I had one sample of 5K(20ma):5: 1:1+1+1+1. I suggest use 6c45 running in 18ma, maximun of the IT can support to 4 pairs of mosfet. Is it a good leda to start this project. Parallel of 4 pairs of mosfet had 100Watts class A output.

thx for your advise.

I don't think anyone has answered your question yet.

Yes, you can use the 2SJ49/2SK134 pair in place of the BUZ900P/BUZ905P pair. The electrical characteristics are virtually identical. Your devices are in metal TO-3 packages, while the parts in the schematic are in plastic TO-247 packages, so you will have to mount them differently.
