Building a phase inverter to convert stereo to mono

Can anyone help me with a circuit for inverting the phaze on a two channel stereo amp and thereby turning it into a sigle channel mono amplifier?

The Audio Control Richter Scale has this feature, but it only does it for one amp....basically for turing a stereo amp into a single channel sub amp.

Van Alstine sells this unit, but it's $300 for the kit, and I'd like to do this myself with my own chassis and effort.

Very simple, works great. Negligible noise (I used MPSA18 as Q1 but BC550C would also be fine), but make sure you have input caps on the power amp inputs.
