Default DC output protection external circuitry

Gday,
picture tells all, have an old amp, needs protection, dont want to modify the insides though, already no room in there, so i need a box that i can run the speakers through that has DC protection circuitry in it. THe circuit must be able to run off mains (best to run off 9v transformer if possible, they are the cheapest) and handle my amplifier which is 80v, or 230w into 8 ohms continuous. Any ideas, please help.
Thankyou
Daniel

Daniel,

EA put out such a design October 92. Altronics has it as kit K5052.

Yeah, the Altronics kit is stereo, but uses one relay to switch both speakers at the same time - therefore fault one channel, loose all sound.
