I just looked at simple sheet of IRF540/9540 and IRF140/9140. The small sheet specs are exactly the same. Are they the same mould, but placed in different casing size?

I reckon so. IRF640/9640 are also the same spec-wise as IRFP240/9240.

try cross referencing the devices to ECG, if they are the same, they should have the same ECG number
