I always use www.el-supply.dk They are local, but have great prices are very friendly and import their own transformers.
Not sure if this helps you, but it might bring new costumers from Denmark their way. \Jens |

Avel Lindberg's complete listing of their transformers can be found at http://avellindberg.com .
They have some sizes that are not carried by Parts Express if you do not find what you need listed at Parts Express. They will email you a price with shipping. From other posts it appears that Avel Lindberg's direct prices are similar to those from Parts Express. Plitron ships to the US. Their site is http://www.plitron.com/. Be sure to click on the US prices as the default is Canadian Dollars on the site. They manufacture some sizes that Avel does not have available. |

These guys have it well covered. The Y23 series from Avels don't have the best fit and finish but they are hard to beat at that price level.
The Plitrons are better constructed but be prepared to pay the extra. I have used the Avels with good effect. In some cases the I had two 1kva Avels about 2.5 inches from the input differential pairs in a 350 watt (8ohm) amplifier.... no hum or noise at the outputs that I could hear. So they are pretty versatile and quiet for general use. |

http://www.victoriamagnetics.com/ you can email them for a quote, I was quoted 10 day lead time. More expensive than Avel , but fit and finish is better.

They do a vast range and are reasonably cheap with reasonable P&P. http://www.alliedelec.com/search/sea...3&SearchType=0 I've just a search and unfortunately they are not as cheap as they are in the UK. Here we can purchase 60VA toroidals for about the £25 GBP mark. The last ones I bought from http://www.amazon.co.uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/Electrovisio...3191298&sr=8-1 http://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/?sra=o...ormer&x=15&y=9 Last edited by KatieandDad; 31st March 2012 at 10:55 AM. |
