Default Never tried such a thing...

...but why not?
Looks pretty much like a simple and straight forward MOSFET design.

Specific doubts?

Cheers

...one disadavantage may be that the max. output swing will be about 10V below the rails at full load condition.
==>My estimation: about 30W...35W rms at 8 Ohms.

" intended to operate largely in class A ..........starting from 0.4 A to 1A ,where is wise to put two pairs of output mosfets..........max. output level of about 35 to 40 Watts per channel.....for spks of nominal impedance of 8 ohms..."

just curious in comments.....and also I wish to share that schmtc, just because I can't see it nowhere on the net.
