Hi all ;
I need an amplifier a close as possible to specs below. 1) Battery powered (1.2V per channel only, but I am ready to use DC-DC converters) 2) 2 Watt Peak out put 3) Class A if possible (I know it will eat the battery) 4) Simple and Small (will fit in a very small case) 5) It must accapt both lin out & headphone out. I will be very please if some one can point me the right direction. best regards Mertol |

It is possible to build a headphone amp with 2.5V~3V
http://www.national.com/parametric/0,,4347,00.html To get 2W at 4 ohms you will need more like 5V http://www.national.com/parametric/0,,799,00.html Most headphones these days seem to be about 32 ohms, so you will need more like 3 cells to get 50mW output. |
