I've got a Scott Receiver from around 1980 that uses Samsung transistors in the power amp, labled KSC2837 and KSA1186. I can not find any useful information on them. Not even the "all mighty" Google could find anything about them. And I can find nothing about them on Samsung's US website.
Are they any good? What is their replacement? I presume that these are bi-polar devices, although the back of the receiver itself mentions "Scott Field Effect Technology), with the schematic symbol for a FET device. Kind of a mystery to me. |

The original part numbers are 2SA1186 and 2SC2837, manufactured by Sanken.
PDF of 2SA1186 PDF of 2SC2837 Regards
