Hi!
Does anyone know a program or scipt which can be used to convert models including Spice2 POLY sources to their Spice3 equivivalents? There are a few posts in various newsgoups and some references to this kind of programs, but I haven't managed to find any. I'm using Spice 3f5 in Linux and I'm not willing to change my simulation environment. Regards, -j |

Oh my ...

Well, well. It would seem that I'm using outdated environment for my simulation work ;-) What a pity tough, it works flawlessly.
Anyway, does anyone happen to have spice3 compatible models for the following opamps: AD797, AD811, AD8099 and OP37? Regards, -j |

Hi,
I ran across the same problem a month ago (free vendor models in spice2, not spice3,) and in searching, found a lot of questions, but no scripts. Mistakenly thinking it would be easy, I set out to write one. It's pretty ugly, and there's probably bugs, but here it is. I've used it with "E" VCVS sources, but none of the current controlled sources. here's my attempt at a script: http://www.dnlnk.com/Images/Spice2to3-2005-03-14.tar.gz I believe ngspice can be compiled with options to support spice2 poly() syntax, and that's probably the best way to do it. I'd especially appreciate it if someone with both spice's could check a few conversions. I'm totally new to this group.. seems pretty cool! I don't do a lot with audio, but recently helped my brother set up a mobile "sound tower," and have in the past experimented with Class D amps a little. Nice to see I'm not the only one who likes to solder stuff together once in awhile. Cheers, Alex |
