This may have been covered as part of other threads but not sure if it has had it's own thread... so here I ask:

I am trying to beef up the power supply of a Japanese Integrated amp. (name not imp).

I have another amp (same model) that is beyond repair but PSU is good, How can I use the PSU of one to beef up the other?

1) Can I tie the two DC rail together? (Power cap to power cap)
2) Or Tie the AC secondaries of the Trafo's using just one bridge rectifier?
3) Or add an aftermarket Toroid (which may be a few volts higher or lower than stock) and will be mated to the stock supply?

Any thoughts and reason for your conclusions will be welcome.

In situation 1 and 2 it is the same model amp (therefore same voltages more or less) for both amps.

In the third option (I am think of using an after market Toroid/ third party Toroid I have lying around) , the voltages may be 5v more or 5v less than the stock I will "add" this to.

thanks!
