Hello all,
I am a novice who is trying to decide whether to take my amp in for repairs, or if I have a common problem that I can fix at home--I have no idea! I have had a used Rotel RA-971 integrated amplifier for over a year now, and it has performed beautifully until recently. Now one channel is nearly silent unless the balance is turned all the way up in its favor. This did not happen while I was listening to the amp, but occured between uses. I have tried different speaker cable, both sets of terminals, different speakers, etc., and the right channel is clearly faulty. Is this a common problem with an obvious solution, or will it need the work of experts?
