I just signed up for a pre-order for the current amp camp kit (Amp Camp Amp - Complete Kit (PRE-ORDER, SHIPS SEP 15TH) – diyAudio Store ). I'm new to this so please forgive if my question is naive: I'm planning to use the amp to power a pair of Klipsch LaScalas. The source will be a Thorens MK II TD 125 with a MM cartridge (GAS Sleeping Beauty) and a home-built step-up transformer with Jensen JT-347-AXTt transformers. I figure I will need a pre-amp to go with the amp camp kit, right?
Is there as a reasonably priced pre-amp anyone can recommend to go with this set-up? Or even a kit? Any leads would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance,
