I have a feeling that he emmiter resistors will give greater output Z than four transistor version. Sorry guys.... I couldn't resist!

For those looking for complicated current sources, Horowitz & Hill have one in The Art of Electronics with its own power supply and all kinds of bells and whistles.

Harry

I have noticed that some of your image attachements are zipped Word files such as the one above. Not everyone has the ability to open a Word file, so would it not be possible to save your Word file (perhaps having first converted the image to black and white) as a web page. This will give you a .gif of the schematic which can then be included in your post for all to see.

Hello All,
Thanks for the comments and circuits.
Geoff's 4 transistor/2 resistor circuit looks easy to implement.
I have downloaded MS Word 97/2000 Viewer but it will not install for me (I get 'not responding' error).
Can someone repost Harry's cicuit as a jpg or something so we can all view it ?.

Thanks, Eric.
