Trying to revive this and it is unusual enough that I need the schematic for debug. If some kind soul has this one (it's not posted on their support site), I would appreciate it.

I don't have the P6000 but the P1500 and P3000 use the same manual and schematics. Is it possible it could basically be similar?
If you think so, I have already downloaded the P1500/3000. |

The PRO6000 uses vertical MOSFETs in an array Anthony Holton would have been proud of: 16 per channel, on a wind tunnel heatsink. That's what I meant about significantly different. The entire amp, both channels, is on one rather large PC board, roughly 16"x14". This includes a preamp with unbalanced/balanced input and bridge switching and some signal level and fault monitoring and shutdown. Right now the current rises very rapidly as I increase the line voltage, but not fast enough to make me think it's a short. Since this is all one board, I can't isolate channels and I can't partition this easily for debug. If I can't get a schematic, I can still use the chassis and power supply. It has forced air cooliing, an 1800 VA toroid, and 2 42,000mf 100v caps that are all fine. Do you think this would be all right for a Zen amp? |

Hafler Technical Support replied to my request for schematic with:
--------- Thanks for getting in touch with us. Unfortunately, after much searching, we are unable to find a schematic for the Pro 6000 for you. All that I have available to me is the manual. Please let us know if we can do anything else for you. --------- It's apparently an orphan from the early days of Hafler Rockford. Oh well, Zenquito here I come. |
