Question Lexicon CP1+ schematic

Hi I m new this forum.

Recently bought a very old used Lexicon CP1+ Pro-logic processor after audition. Sound much more refine than my Rotel 980 prologic processor.

Now I wish to modify the Lexicon processor to receive 7.1 analog inputs to receive DTS and Dolby Digital signal. Have tried to add it before the IC control analog volume control but could only find 4 analog inputs instead of 8 channels. Can anyone help to explain this?

Also can someone help me get the schematic of CP1?

Thk u.

lexicon are quite mean with schematics apparently, someone else designed their guitar amp for them, and said the schematics were to be distributed, obvioulsy for servicing, and they didn't and won't let people see the circuit.
Now you have to get it off the maker, so if lexicon did your processor, I think it will be nigh impossible to get one.

Or, go to work there

Hi,

Many thks for yr reply. I hav tried getting frm Lexicon and got a std reply of no no.

I wanted to add 8 analog inputs while enabling the master volume control.

I have actually located the IC control analog volume control but it has only 4 inputs instead of 8 which puzzle me. Guess it must be the analog switches upstream that play the trick allowing 2 or more channels to go thru each cable.

Will have a lot more circuit tracing to do in the next few days.

Otherwise I go for the simple solution of using a multi-channel volume pot tapping into the preamp stage.

Anyone has similar experience will like to share?

Rgds
