Plate amp speaker level input effect of main amp?

I will be running my plate amps again soon for bass duties. It is recommended that I use the speaker level inputs from my main amp to provide signal.

Does running wires from the amp or from main speakers terminal have any effect on the main amp? Does the load it sees change?

Don't see why you can't use line level

Oh I can use line level. But to do so requires 2x 18ft phono leads

I been told it's better for the sound to use the speaker level inputs and the signal should be safer running amplified

Amp speaker level signal is higher so less immune to noise perhaps ?
