Hi all, Im looking for a premade amp around 30-50W that will drive the compression drivers (crossovered at about 1 khz) as part of a triamp setup.

There seems to be a range of options. Which of the following is the best route:

buy one of those topping/tripath ebay amps TA2024
buy a premade china amp made from TPA3116
Get a conventional pa power amp: https://www.thomann.de/gb/tamp_s75.htm

the hifi power amps appear way out of my budget ($200 - willing to stretch to 300 if light years ahead).

any other suggestions?

I find the HF to be critical in perceiving harmonics and detail. I would not recommend a Hi-Fi amp unless you're going to use the set up in a home environment. Even so it would be far better to get a high quality power amp (Crown, Lab Gruppen, etc.). I don't have any experience with small chip amps in a PA scenario, but there is a reason for that. The PA amps are made to bring a consistent performance upon hours of heavy use.
