Every two or three months blows power transistors 2SA1236 and 2SC3180 in left channel output. Tried 5ohm resistors in series with loud speaker suspecting short circuit but fault persists. Happens on initial switch on with input 1A fuse immediately rupturing. This time trying 1amp time delay fuse

I have gotten an Marantz SR-50 which displays the same symptoms you described. Did you manage to repair yours?

Hi Bernard and Jarno,
Did you have any success with your repairs? I have similar problems with my Marantz SR-50 Stereo Receiver and the fuse blows within a few minutes of switch-on. I have not even started any corrective action but have started to look at the experience of others. I do not even have a circuit diagram as yet. Where did you obtain a diagram?
