If I were desiging a live sound system from scratch and it was a 3 band system. Say bass above 150Hz, and high above 3.5Khz. (is that right for dance/RnB?). What would be the pecentage power split between the bands?

50%, 30% and 20% is as good as place as any to start.
But note that as you can make mids and treble much more efficient than the bass units in an active 3-way, the actual amplifier powers needed can be very different from the above. Running the mids down to ~250Hz sounds more sensible to me. |

So if one had 2 equal power amps, one could drive the bass only.
At the moment I only have a " full range" cab containing a 15" and a Piezo horn ( yes, I know). I dont know if I should make this become the bass or the mid/top. |
