hi eleccortez, I have built this zener amplifier many times and I think the sound is good despite of its cheap building. of course, maybe it is limitted regard to bandwidth but I think there are few changes that should be done to it.. I cannot remember but this zener amplifier is the same circuit used by Pioneer in one of its SA amplifier series.
