Which way is best for power supply?

Hi, I am constructing a Symasym with dual power supplies. Each supply consists of a 25-0-25 160va toroid 2 X 22000uf and single bridge rectifier.
Due to layout constraints I have two layout possibilities.
1) rectifier mounted close to transformer and the filter caps mounted close to the amplifier PCBs. This would mean the supply wires from the rectifier would be approx 300mm long to the caps, then very short to the PCB.
2) rectifiers mounted close to transformers, all 4 filter caps mounted close to rectifiers, (with their centre points connected at a common point) and then the supply wires direct to the PCB, about 300mm away.
Which of these two ways is favourite? If I use option 1 I am concerned about grounding hum problems. If I use option 2 I am concerned about the length of the supply wires to the PCBs.
Opinions please.
