I'm trying to put together a measurement microphone based on ESP P93 preamp. So far I haven't been able to get any output from it. At first I thought that the electret capsule was destroyed be heat. I switched it with another one, but with the same result.
It turned out that one of the transistors had failed - the BC549C. I've got some replacements from my local electronics supplier, but they are of a different brand (Phillips) than the BC559Cs (Motorola) already in the circuit. It is possible to combine two different brands of these transistors? Hmmpf... the local electronics shop managed to give me three different BC549C! Two from Philips labelled PH 52 and PH 57 and one I cannot identify. What's the difference? |
