Default Idea for an high quality amp with 50Vdc power supply

I have an used toroidal transformer with power 300VA and two outputs from 35Vca. I want to build an audio amplifier. I saw schemathics F5 and P3A but all work with lower voltage. Any idea for an high quality amp with 50Vdc power supply?
Thank's

Arrow High-performance singleton CFA

Hi Bading,

I can recommend one of my recent designs - Compact CFA v2 "IRFP". Rather simple yet high-performance.

>Final schematic<
>Live-measured spectrums<
>PCB by Marc (Idefixes)<

There's also my version of the PCB - the one I used for my build.
I can send you the Gerbers if you like.

Pictures show MJL BJTs at the output, however my favorite option has got "IRFP" HEX-FETS there, providing around 140W @ 8 ohm of high-quality power.

Cheers,
Valery

Don't pay any attention to Valery, he knows my amps are the best (just kidding)

and they have both BJT and FETs at the output !

TGM8 - an amplifier based on Rod Elliot P3a

There are a lot of amps that can work at the higher voltage. It probably depends on how much you want to do yourself - there are some nice options for ready built modules and also kits on eBay etc. and there are a number of designs on the forum as well as some pcb's available from the forum shop. Budget is another consideration.

You can also use these transformers as 0-50V supply and build an amplifier with a single rail but without output capacitor (some don't like that but I say make your own choice).

Here's a rather good example (excellent performance): MJR7-Mk5 Mosfet Power Amplifier Design Notes

It uses LatFETs not HEXFETs but you asked for an example - many amplifiers were built with output capacitors in the past. At that time the quality of available capacitors was poor, today there are excellent large value caps available. Some time with Google will help you.

Also: Bigun's TGM8 with Single Supply
