So a few years ago I decided to change duty for my Hafler XL280 and put it back into use. Things sounded fine but I got the notion that I should do the capacitor upgrade. Well I did the right channel two summers ago during vacation and the other side this past summer. When I powered up the unit after completing side 2, I never got sound out of the left channel. Didn't have time to retest my soldering so I put it away until now.
I plugged the unit in today, powered it up and it appears a resistor on the right channel just off the mosfet section burned up. Not sure why this didn't happen when I powered up the unit last summer.
Anyway, I think there is more going on than just bad solder joints. Where should I go to have someone more experienced repair this problem?
