Hi
I'm looking for a good voltage regulator for my linestage preamplifier. So far I've tried LM78xxx/LM79xxx and a discrete built shunt regulator. Unfortunately the shuntregulator didn't have the good dynamics from the lm's, probably because of the low current rating. So now I'm looking for schematics of discrete built series regulators with the following specifications. +24 and -24V needed At least the same current capabilities as the LM's No mosfets or jfets Can you help me? Best regars Asbjørn |

Hi,
Check here: http://home.comcast.net/~walt-jung/w...ed_PN_Regs.pdf and here: http://www.alw.audio.dsl.pipex.com/jung_schematic.htm Also, a search of this site for "super regulator" or similar should turn up lots of hits as well. It may not have the output current capability you're looking for, but a Darlington configuration of the pass transistor would probably fix that. |
