musical fidelity A-X 50/100/200: Any differences above 500 Hz?
I‘m thinking about activating my 3 way system, powering each way by two X-A 50/100/200 mono blocks. I wonder if the difference between the X-A 50, X-A 100 and X-A 200 is only in quantity (power and price) or in quality, too. I know that more power always results in a gain of musical quality, but in my experience this nearly exclusively affects the bass frequencies. Therefore, to specify my question I only refer to the amplification of the tweeter and the mid woofer: Assuming, the bass woofer is fed by an X-A 200. A 50 W rms amp like the X-A 50 should have more than enough power to handle the frequencies down to 450 Hz. Would there still be a difference in musical quality between a tweeter/mid woofer driven by an X-A 50 and a tweeter/mid woofer driven by an X-A 200? – A Difference that is caused by higher quality components, not by more power resources?
Thanks in advance!
