You question is somewhat ambiguous, but I presume you mean
the difference between a phono amp and a line level amp.

1) The phono amp must handle a much lower input signal, it
must thus have a much higher gain, especially for MC pickups,
and noise is also a bigger problem due to the low input signals.

2) Vinaly records are not recorded with a flat frequency response,
the treble is exaggerated to minimize noise problems and the
bass is lowered to keep the track modulation moderate. This
is known as the RIAA frequency correction and must be corrected
in the phono amp.
