Default Recommend me a project.

So I've recently bought an Aune T1 that I'm using to power my headphones. Now on a recommendation from another site I'm thinking about purchasing these speakers Chane ARX A1rx and connecting them to the lineout of the aune t1.

Now I was also recommended the mini-X a-100 to drive it but I would like to build a comparable amp from a diy kit if possible. Not only because I enjoy assembling my own electronics but also to keep the costs down.

Need to power these:
Frequency Response: 55Hz-25kHz +/- 3dB
Low Frequency cutoff: 45Hz -6dB
Sensitivity (1w/1m): 85dB
System type: Convertible bass reflex
Nominal Impedance: true 8 Ohms*
Recommended Power: 20-150W
Dimensions: 350 x 180 x 260mm
Dimensions: 13.8 x 7.1 x 10.25in
Net Weight: 7.7kg / 17lbs each
Need to build an amp for less than $200

I think you might enjoy this, if a power amp is what you're looking for. Pick up a Dynaco stereo 120 power amp. Here's one on eBay:

then buy the upgrade kits from update my dynaco:

the process is a lot of fun… I think you'll enjoy it! The total cost, depending on what options you pick, could certainly meet your price targets.

What would you say is a good price for one of these? And anyone have any other recommendations for DIY kits. I'm not sure I want to buy a used component to update it, never really know what you're getting and I have no idea how I would troubleshoot if a problem arose.

depending on the shape, anywhere from $20 to $100. A typical good price would be $40, assuming it was never a submarine, e.g. under water...

here's another option, but it's above your budget by a little...

Akitika GT-101 Audio Power Amplifier Kit
