The error signal and the measured reference voltage is supplied to a current controlled oscillator ( 15) which regulates the current through the resistor (26 ) depending on said error signal . If at some point of the monitored current rise time , the error signal will fall on the conveyor ( 15) which increase its current. Voltage across the resistor (16) is reduced. Consequently , the voltage decreases by voltage regulator (12 ) ( in the implementation of Example 1 reduced the voltage on the gate-source voltage of the FET of the stabilizer ( 12) ) . This will lead to a decrease of the anode voltage on the lamp E (7 ) , which will decrease the cathode current of the lamp ( 7) and the current through the resistor ( 5 ) responsible for the displacement of the first (3 ) and second ( 4) voltage follower . The voltage at the control inputs of the repeaters (3, 4) is reduced , thereby reducing the current through the repeaters (3, 4 ), i.e. a decrease of the current through the measuring resistor and ( 21).
In the absence of the input signal (1 ), analog output ( 2) has a midpoint potential between V2 and V3. Because according to a preferred embodiment V2 =-V3, in the absence of the input signal (1 ), analog output ( 2) has a ground potential. Protection against short circuit operates as follows.
