I just got a new board vice. Large SMT is fine with me. It's handy to be able to populate both sides of a board.

The "grogg" is powerful here (damn moonshine). No layouts
with this much "kick" in the noggin' .
But (as usual) , a "reset" of the "noggin' is sometimes quite necessary.
LSD and ganga have a similar effect. Not good to do either consistently ,
but the end result is all the same .
PS - have 1/2 both new IPS's done .... but no advancement with "grogg"
in the "noggin". (figure that out !!)

Hey ,"grogg IPS" can be the bootstrap one (it's easy enough).

Iam use of small copper fins cooler from cumputers, and experiments with smd on small boards

I've used these things for years. They work excellent until the foam disintegrates on the arm. I've never found replacement foam that works well.

Capacitor that is very good for decoupling will usually not suitable for coupling. Sanyo Oscon is an example. Regarding bass, well, the caps often behave like a tone control, you have to choose either good treble or good bass 😀
C3 is feedback cap. I will accept Oscon there. Especially because of the low voltage rating (hence small size). I like Black Gate N (red color) for input coupling. Especially because of the small size compared to MKP. Electrolytics tend to be easy on ears. A good one like BG N will provide sufficient details.
