Speaker Protector BC51 for Harman Kardon Integrated Amp PM640 wanted
In the attachment you will find an excerpt of the whole schematic of this integrated amplifier.
Concerning the speaker protector CB401/CB402,
type BC51, 2,5A
Harman Part-No according service manual 45361-252014
I have two questions:
1) How work this device? Is it a reversible fuse like those polyswitches under the follow website?
TE Connectivity | PolySwitch Resettable Devices: PPTC Devices
2) is it a custom made part or industry standart device?
This part looks a bit like like Makita Over Current Relay BC51 by follow link:
Over Current Relay BC51 [652532-9] - $7.41 at eReplacementParts.com
The same part than those from PM640 is also in use in the loudspeaker from Kenwood, model MV5 (in serial to the low frequency transducer).
Thank you for advices.

The makita part looks mechanical (bimetal).
The polyswitch is crystalline carbon/plastic (low R crystal / high R "melted").
Symbol in schema is not a polyswitch - looks like a breaker...
Mongrel website , always current and updated :
