Probably obvious (to someone) I'm playing about with the cambridge 540p phono stage and hooked up a 12v 3amp power supply. Definite change and I would say an improvement but not sure if I prefer it, more clarity but at the expense of cohesion.
It works but how does this relate to the 1amp diodes and 1amp 7818 (??) voltage regulator. I assumed current was only there on standby but thought I would check while I can return it.
Side note: fast rectifiers/schottky could cause over voltage, iv replaced parts a few times trying.
