Alesis RA300 Short

I have an Alesis RA300 with a short. The output drops in/out. I am a total noob and have no idea how to investigate the problem but I'd like to take a stab at fixing it myself. Any advices where to start with diagnosing the problem? I have done some soldering of guitar pickups and cables but this is totally new to me.

One amp may have DC at the output. To find the bad amp, measure the DC at the output inductor. The output inductor is an easy way to access each amp before the output relay. I have repaired several Alesis amps, PS filter caps have been bad on many units.
