This is the first time on the site and let me tell you I know very little about electronics. Please be kind.
My problem is that the Luxman Amp I have has blown the power transistor on the left channel. My fault, but thats another story. The fixer tells me it is NEC2sd188 and can I buy two. Is this a possibility and where can I get them? Please help. |

Almost anything will do in your Luxman. 2N3055 comes straight to mind or MJ802. The original is a standard TO3 type power transistor.
If you use ebay, there are some listed or depending on your country, Farnel, CPC, RS Components, Maplin in fact almost any Electronic Supplier will keep them. Last edited by Harleyjon; 18th April 2013 at 10:54 AM. Reason: More info |
