Suggestion for TO-220 PNP BJTs?

Does anyone have a suggested TO-220 PNP BJT for use as part of a compound (Sziklai) pair in an output stage? Something available at Mouser or Digikey. I do not need an NPN compliment in this application.

Maybe BD244?
It is an easily-obtainable and common device.

MJE2955 (PNP) & MJE3055 (NPN) (60V, 10A) are probably the best known TO220 power devices.

MJE15033/MJE15032 (250V 16A 50W), TO220.

In TO-126 MJE350 & MJE340 are good for 300V, but only 500mA.

You don't say whether it's the driver or output transistor or what power level, Hi-fi or G.P. you want. There are some big chips in TO220 cases (BD912, MJE2955 etc.) but you wouldn't use them as drivers and vice-versa. The MJE150xx series are excellent drivers for medium-high power as well as 2SA1837 (TO220F).

Senior moment. How fast is a BD244? Maybe I've forgotten how to read a data sheet but I don't see anything in that Fairchild sheet about speed.

Thanks for the suggestions. This is for an output stage, but a fairly low power one. I think the 2SA1837 looks like the best place to start.

It does but I have only your word for it. It's not that I don't trust you but shouldn't the datasheet be more complete? I've heard of reading between the lines but there aren't even lines.
