I have two of these Crown XLS 602 amps. They have been perfect power for my two Peavey SP2's. I use them in briged mono. One amp for each speaker.
Well, last summer, something happend and i heard a whoppin sound for about 5 seconds and then the black widow in one of my SP2's was found to be burned bad and destroyed.
I replaced the basket and powered up again but now i think some damage may have either been done to one of my amps or the amp failed in some way to damage the speaker.
Where would i start to try and repair the amp.
It is operating but it is about 60% of the output of the other identical amp. The red LED inside is about half as bright as the other amp.
I see a signal light and it Does amplify but something is missing.
Throw it away or fix it?
