Nexgen Vishay Siliconix Gen4 Mosfets can they be used for audio?

reading the pdf datasheet seems to say that these are specifically limited to VERY fast switching applications at unusually low voltages. The current draw seems high, but it is for milliseconds. Linear operation does not seem to be an option.

Also, I didn't look to see if there are complementary pairs.
 
Certain types of architecture of vertical fets are not suitable for analog operation. Trench-types are not suitable mostly because they actually have a secondary breakdown like feature and will hot spot and fail. Also Cgd becomes very large at Vds saturation with these devices.:whazzat: Uni-fet is another unsuitable canidate. Look for the differences in capacitance curves along with Rds-on for the different types of devices. Generally, the cellular devices, like Hexfets are more suitable for analog purposes. Also Planer Stripe type fets are very rugged for analog uses, but notice the increased dependency of Vgs vs Id upon Vds for these. I use these with excellent results but only with somewhat sophisticated error correction.;)
