Looking for some help here in the Houston area. One of my Muse 175 monoblock amps has an intermittent problem with a connection on the negative binding post. Looking inside of the chassis, the solder joint *looks* OK, but output comes and goes as the post is moved from the outside. There's a resistor soldered between + and - posts and I'm guessing that the lead to the negative post might be broken inside of the ceramic body causing an intermittent connection. Looks like a very simple repair if one knows what they are doing, but that leaves me out. I simply don't know enough to have the confidence to mess with this and would like to find someone local that could help me with it.
Thanks, Bobby |
