I have a couple questions concerning the Adcom GFA-5503 amp I have powering my front left, right and center speakers.
question 1: am I causing any problems for the amp since the left and right speakers are Maggie MMG (soon to be replaced with 1.7's) that are 4 ohm impedance and the center is a Maggie MMGC that is 5 ohm impedance?
question 2: when I play stereo music (left and right speakers only), there is so much more power (headroom, I would guess) available to the speakers (heard and felt in fullness, depth, and loudness of music) versus when I use the center speaker in addition. Is this normal, or is there a potential problem with the amp?
thanks for any info you can give me.
