I just did a Sansui 5050 and it was not an easy task even with the service manual.
I just want to wish you good luck with your project.
The electronics can be fix (get the service manuals ) but the front panel and knobs are close to impossible to get.
The one thing you can do is to look on ebay for faulty ones that are complete and go from there.
Another thing is this way you get the unobtanium power transistors that with luck will make you fix one of them.
Good luck

Check out the marantz forum on audiokarma. There are some real knowledgable guys over there that have walked me through all of the rebuilds of my marantz units.

I have a 2270 that is in perfect condition. It works, has never been serviced, the cabinet is in excellent condition. If you would like to substitute for your`s I`m sure we could work something out.
