I have a Luxman R115 that I am working on where I have a bad 2SC2705 transitor in the R amp board. There are other issues in the pre section which need to be addressed at a later time but I want to get the amp section working to determine cost effectiveness of doing so. I have spare 2SC3467 transistors from an R117 repair. The amp board circuits between the R117 and R115 are almost identical, including the parts themselves, and the only difference I see is the R117 transistor is built to handle the higher rail voltage. I am not all that familiar with swapping transitors so I was hoping someone with more knowledge in this matter would give an opinion as to whether it would be ok to do this swap. Thanks ahead for any responses.

2sc3467 is a perfect replacement, and in some ways better, go ahead.

Thanks I'll give it a go. I kinda thought it might be but I wanted someone with more knowledge to verify. If it works I will have at least both R and L channels of the amp section up and running giving me the CD input as a functioning source.

That did the trick. The preamp problem looks like IC issue with TC9163N switching device. Luckily I have a spare of this part as well. Thanks again.
