How to remove the front panel on a Harman Kardon 330B
 

I just bought a Harman kardon 330B at a thrift store and it works great, but it looks like the power button took a pretty hard hit. I'd like to see if I can straighten it out, but am having a hard time figuring out how to remove the front panel so I can get to it. Has anyone taken one off? Any hints on how to do it?

Glad you've joined.. Wish I knew something helpful to assist in your quandary, but unfortunately I don't know much about this unit .. I do suggest you post a picture or two of the damage area and any details that might give the crew around here some insight into the design of this unit. (Probably not too many have seen this unit..)

This look correct: 330B Radio Harman Kardon; New York, build 1974, 4 pictures, ?

I can guess that you need to remove the knobs (they should just pull off), and remove the top and bottom covers.. The switches and pots should all be mounted on the chassis. There may be nuts on the pot shafts that have to come off before the front panel can be removed. Look for fasteners on both sides of the faceplate tying the faceplate to the chassis. Make sure that you actually need to remove this at all, it may be that the switch can be removed from the inside and the button extracted from the outside.

That's the unit. I have a bunch of pictures on my computer but it looks like I'll have to open an account on Photo bucket or something to upload them.
I have taken the top and bottom off and it looks like the front part of the chassis will come off but there are a bunch of components attached to it. There are no obvious screws that attach the front panel to the front chassis, so I was hoping that somebody knew a trick or two to get it off without having to remove all the components. Hopefully I'll be able to get some photos up today.

I decided to take off all the components and see what if any of them hold the front panel on. It turns out that there is a nut on the lower left side that needs to be removed along with the nut on the front behind the Tuning knob.
Now that I straightened the power switch, I can see that a red plastic extension is missing. I can turn it on and off by pushing it with the eraser side of a pencil though. Anyone have a power switch for a Harman Kardon 330 that they want to get off their hands for cheap?
